I haven't served my term yet but thought I'd post what I've done so far. All the work I've ever taught on creating repeating /random patterns to children has come through here and the rukes are so inbred I didn't even see them until I looked at the photos. Even now that I've seen them, working to create irregular negative spaces could be really difficult - not that I won't try next time!!!
What I have enjoyed the most is being able to leave enough uncarved areas to create a background as with the leaf print - I'll be doing some of this!
