Cold hands - warm heart?

I've talked about it being too cold to sew. It's not that the house is cold, it's just that I seem to get cold quite quickly if I'm not moving around. A few weeks ago I started to look around for a pair of fingerless gloves, I rather fancied a fairisle pair a la Steptoe, but no joy. Then this afternoon I remembered a pair of fleece gloves that I bought for £1.oo from Tesco and hadn't used. (I find fleece gloves the most successful way of controlling my work when machine quilting, and usually have a spare pair.) ten snips later and I had my fingerless gloves, though the offcuts had a rather sinister look to them as the gloves are a rather insipid pink colour!

They definitely remind me of something, not quite sure what yet. At first I thought you were going to say you had knitted a pair, silly me. Have a lovely Xmas.
