On my Christmas list was Angie Hughes book "Stitch, Cloth, Paper and Paint" and I have been as good as gold and have almost not opened it until I could work through the exercises, which I began to do this afternoon. Unfortunately I realised, looking at some of the pictures, that I have none of the beautiful open lace Angie uses, but I'm sure this will do for a start. If the image doesn't enlarge when clicked, use Ctrl and + to see the start of the texture that is being created. I can't wait to get some paint on the surface, but there's some stitching to do first!!!!

Did someone mention lace? How much would you like? It's mainly stretchy - from a certain lingerie manufacturer in Nottingham - but beautiful patterns and very textured. I'll put some in the post this week.
