Childhood memories

The next suitcase collection for the Contemporary Quilt group is to go under the title of Childhood Memories - and I'm finding it hard to come up with something that isn't too obvious such as 50's memorabilia or family photos or something that isn't too personal.

These dresses probably fit both categories - they remind me of the clothes my mother wore before my short sightedness was diagnosed. From a distance I would identify her from her clothes so was always very involved in the fabrics she chose for her dresses.
