Painted Bondaweb and felt

© Linda Bilsborrow
I want to do things that I don't know how to do, so 2005 has to be the year of the experiment! I intend to sample ideas that I have had so that, if nothing else, I can clear some of the clutter from my brain.
This small piece (4" x 8") was created from a WOW workshop. A piece of bondaweb was painted with acrylic paint, touched lightly with an iron to hold it in place on the black felt then blasted with a heat gun. As the bondaweb melted the paint created new patterns and bonded itself onto the felt. I'd love to be able to work into this piece but don't have the vocabulary of embroidery stitches (machine or hand) to do so.
