An easy bit of word association this time - coffee=morning, and looking at the Creative Cue forum it seems I'm not the only one, there are some interesting caffeine driven interpretations there. My Creative Commons search brought up this image, which I've cropped to 7 x 10 proportions, in case I need inspiration for the CQ Journal Quilt challenge. The design was so strong that I simply added a whirl effect using Irfanview, the free photo editing software. I can imagine using this as inspiration for some raw-edged reverse machine appliqué.

I love the swirl -- it's even better than a mocha latte! And it would make a wonderful art quilt.
