This is the second postcard swap I have joined and I really enjoy them. Working in such a small scale enables you to try things out, without losing too much time if things don't work out. For instance I have several reels of variegated thread but for some reason I had never actually used them for quilting until this swap.
Then there is the day when the swap cards arrive. This is exciting in itself and certainly makes a change from bills and circulars. But there is an added benefit, the postcards present an opportunity to take a close, a really close, look at the way other people work and if nothing else I'm always open to new ideas!
