January Take it Further - l

Details of Sharon B's 'Take it Further' January challenge have been posted - "The key concept for January is a feeling we have all had, the feeling of admiration for another. Ask yourself who do you look up to and admire? Why? What is it you admire about them? "

It didn't take long for me to decide that this wasn't for me, partly because I read the challenge very quickly and thought in terms of a hero, and partly because I'm not ready to interpret a feeling that isn't particularly dominant at the moment.

Fortunately Sharon is also going to post an alternative each month. This month's was created using ColourLovers -

These are not colours that I use, so this is my challenge to me for this month.

I've also added a couple 'rules' of my own:

• each piece will be A4
• I'm only going to use fabric/threads/embellishments from my stash - no time for shopping
• and talking of time .... I'm going to try to limit myself, googling just a couple of pages for inspiration, going with the first thought rather than cogitating and waiting for a better idea to come along - basically just going for it!

That last point is one of the things that I see as something that holds me back, or at least doesn't move me forward - which is what this whole challenge is about!!!
