My camera does NOT like red...

....even though I do!

I spent some time looking at the work of other TIF 'challengees' and was amazed by the variety of the interpretation of the theme 'someone I admire'. It came to me that the common theme in what I admire is strength, people who have inner reserves that they can draw upon. From that came this:

I can't describe the thought process as it just happened in my head! What doesn't show is the fact that the cream is soft, curtain innerlining - a complete contrast to the structure of the piece, or that the black squares are quilted with a floral motif. Just to try to convey that strong doesn't mean hard.

Hi linda
What a lovely piece, so strong, and the composition if is really striking, it always surprises me what comes out of our imagination when we give it a chance!!

This is a lovely piece. Red, black and white are perfect to signify strenght and your quilting is wonderful. Congratulations!
