Stitched and gessoed

I should have taken a photo after adding the stitches but was too quick to move on!



There are some areas that I just couldn't get the gesso into so it will be interesting to see what happens when I add the paint - probably not until the end of the week.

I'm very aware that this is an almost exact replica of the sample in the Angie Hughes book, as I usually try to put my own stamp on things. But I'm using materials in a new way and am trying very hard (and it is hard) to do exactly as the book tells me!!!
