Shamsia Hassani
My latest piece for 12bythedozen. Our artist this time was Shamsia Hassani a graffiti artist working in Afghanistan - http://www.kabulartproject.com/artists/shamsia-hassani/ I noticed that much of her work contained a self portrait element and decided to use this for my piece which is a reflection on how our backgrounds impact on our opportunities in life.

I just read Clair Passmoore's blog post about her entry, and followed the link to see the others in your group. I didn't make the connection between you and this quilt. I really enjoyed this interpretation.
