Visual Exercise

At FOQ I picked up a copy of 'Finding your own visual language' and even though I'd decided not to start the exercises until next week I found myself playing with the idea in Coreldraw this afternoon. I've always enjoyed working with exploded shapes in paper, and will enjoy translating them into fabric. What the PC exercise has done is made me realise how important offsetting part of the shape is in the examples. Here's my first 'play':

I saw this at the FOQ and wondered whether to buy. How are you finding it.... is it inspirational?
Would love to know.

Best wishes
